A&T Human Resources is currently hiring an experienced and detail-oriented CNC / Router Operator for a well-established manufacturing and distribution facility in Scarborough.

The successful candidate will operate CNC machinery and routers to cut and convert plastic materials according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, work orders, and production requirements. This position also involves general warehouse duties, material handling, inventory control, and forklift operation.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines and routers according to work orders, drawings, and supplied programs
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, measurements, and production specifications
  • Select and safely install the correct cutting bits, tools, and machine components
  • Establish appropriate cutting parameters to maintain accuracy and product quality
  • Monitor machinery during operation and make adjustments when necessary
  • Measure completed materials using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices
  • Inspect finished products to ensure correct dimensions, shape, and quality
  • Identify and report production, material, equipment, or quality-related issues
  • Perform daily machinery inspections and confirm equipment is functioning properly

📦 General Warehouse Duties:

  • Package finished products using proper packaging and product-protection methods
  • Apply barcode labels and store materials in the correct bin locations
  • Operate a forklift to transport materials throughout the warehouse
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials safely
  • Assist with company inventory counts
  • Maintain accurate material and inventory records
  • Keep the production and warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow all quality-control procedures and warehouse safety requirements

✅ Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum six months of related CNC, router, machining, or manufacturing experience
  • College or technical school certificate is considered an asset
  • Experience operating CNC routers, CNC panel saws, or similar machinery
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and technical instructions
  • Ability to accurately use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
  • Strong mathematical skills, including decimals, fractions, ratios, percentages, and measurements
  • Basic computer skills for production records, material tracking, and inventory control
  • Valid forklift licence is required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work independently

OD Manual Cylindrical Grinder Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced manual cylindrical grinder operator. This is not a CNC job. You will be running a conventional OD grinder by hand — setting up, grinding, and measuring your own parts start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate a manual cylindrical grinder to grind shafts, pins, and round parts to print
• Hold tolerances of ±0.0002″ or better — consistently, not occasionally
• Dress your own grinding wheels and select the correct wheel for the job
• Measure your own parts using micrometers, bore gauges, and comparators
• Read blueprints and work orders — understand dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish callouts
• Identify and correct issues like chatter, burn, or taper independently
• Keep machine clean and perform basic daily maintenance

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience specifically on a cylindrical grinder
• Must know how to use a micrometer and precision measuring tools (will be tested)
• Must be able to read a mechanical blueprint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with ID (internal) grinding
• Vocational or trade school training in machining
• Familiarity with GD&T

Manufacturing of high-quality landing gear components through various operations on CNC/Conventional machines, while maintaining the highest level of Safety, Efficiency, Cost and Quality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• General Machinist certification (Red Seal Preferred) or 10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years Aerospace experience
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or a relevant trade school program is required
• Proven ability to set-up and operate a variety of CNC machines including vertical/horizontal milling machines, flat bed lathes, gap bed lathes, and complex multi-axis mill-turn machines
• Good understanding of G-Code programming language and Probing Routines/Macros (Renishaw Probes)
