Compensation: $19.50 – $25.00 per hour
🔧 About the Role:
A&T Human Resources is currently hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker for a well-established furniture manufacturing company in Scarborough. This role is ideal for skilled woodworking professionals with hands-on experience in cabinet and furniture production, assembly, and finishing. You will be responsible for producing high-quality cabinetry and furniture components while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble, and finish custom or production cabinetry and furniture components
- Work on multiple projects for large, high-quality clients using a variety of woodworking techniques
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints
- Operate woodworking machinery including saws, milling machines, sanders, drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, and planers
- Use wood-fastening tools such as nailers, staplers, and adhesives
- Assemble cabinets, doors, drawers, and furniture components accurately
- Install hardware including hinges, drawer slides, handles, and fasteners
- Perform sanding, surface preparation, and minor finishing as required
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, fit, and quality standards
- Follow production schedules, company procedures, and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with health and safety policies
- Report material shortages, defects, or equipment issues to the supervisor
✅ Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Cabinet Maker or Woodworker preferred
- Hands-on experience assembling cabinets and office furniture in a manufacturing or woodworking environment
- Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and materials
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares)
- Ability to read shop drawings and measurements precisely
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Physically able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
