Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Brampton, Ontario, Canada
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-site
Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Brampton. In this role, you will diagnose, assess, and treat human communication disorders, including speech, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Job Duties:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering tests and examinations and observing patients to diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
- Developing, planning, and implementing remedial programs to correct these disorders.
- Establishing group and personalized care plans as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Educating and counseling patients and their families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
- Conducting research on communication disorders and developing diagnostic procedures and devices.
- Instructing and supervising communicative disorders assistants, students, and other healthcare personnel.
- Performing other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certification by the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and in good standing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.
