Massage Therapist
Location: Brampton, Ontario, Canada
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-site
Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Massage Therapist to join our team in Brampton. In this role, you will assess and treat soft tissues and joints of the body to prevent and alleviate dysfunction, injury, pain, and physical disorders. You will work in a private practice setting within our multidisciplinary clinic, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Work Week Duration:
Between 35 to 40 hours per week
Job Duties:
As a Massage Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and proposing treatment plans.
- Explaining procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
- Administering massage techniques, treating soft tissues and joints through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower-grade mobilizations, remedial exercise programs, and client self-help programs.
- Suggesting home care instructions and providing information about techniques for postural improvement, stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises.
- Maintaining records of treatments given.
- Consulting with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists, when developing treatment plans for clients.
Qualifications:
- Certification by the respective college and in good standing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.
- High standards of discipline, punctuality, courtesy, ethics, and compassion.
