Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Massage Therapist to join our team in Brampton. In this role, you will assess and treat soft tissues and joints of the body to prevent and alleviate dysfunction, injury, pain, and physical disorders. You will work in a private practice setting within our multidisciplinary clinic, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Work Week Duration:
Between 35 to 40 hours per week

Job Duties:
As a Massage Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and proposing treatment plans.
  • Explaining procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
  • Administering massage techniques, treating soft tissues and joints through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower-grade mobilizations, remedial exercise programs, and client self-help programs.
  • Suggesting home care instructions and providing information about techniques for postural improvement, stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises.
  • Maintaining records of treatments given.
  • Consulting with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists, when developing treatment plans for clients.

    Job Duties:
    As a Physiotherapist, your key responsibilities will include:

    • Assessing clients’ physical abilities using evaluative procedures such as functional ability tests and making a physiotherapy diagnosis.
    • Establishing treatment goals with patients based on diagnoses.
    • Developing and implementing physiotherapy treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manipulations, massage, education, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other modalities.
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and modifying them accordingly.
    • Providing advice on exercises and strategies to implement at home to enhance or maintain treatment outcomes.
    • Communicating with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding clients’ problems, needs, and progress.
    • Maintaining clinical and statistical records and conferring with other healthcare professionals.
    • Developing and implementing health promotion programs for clients, staff, and the community.
    • Conducting research in physiotherapy as needed.
    • Providing consulting or educational services as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Certification by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) and in good standing.
