Job Description:

A&T is looking for a skilled and highly motivated Shop Technician for urgent hire. As a Shop Technician, you will play a vital role in the assembly and inspection of custom pneumatically and mechanically controlled lift assist devices. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with drawings, recording modifications, using hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean and organized shop.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Conduct inspections on manufactured components to ensure they align with the provided drawings.

·        Document any modifications made during assembly on component drawings for precise replication.

·        Employ both manual and powered tools for assembly tasks.

·        Construct pneumatic systems in accordance with client specifications.

·        Maintain a well-organized and clean work area to reduce the risk of accidents.

·        Adhere to established health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

·        Strong mechanical aptitude.

·        Pneumatic and electrical experience is an asset.

·        Ability to read and work on assembly drawings.

·        Proficient with hand tools and hardware fastening.

·        Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

·        A valid driver’s license is necessary.

    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Summary: As a forklift operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials and products within the workplace. Your primary goal is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of materials to the required locations while adhering to all safety and operational procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Safe Operation: Operate forklift equipment following safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and others in the workplace.
    2. Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials and products using forklifts, including pallets, crates, boxes, and other items.
    3. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and perform regular checks to ensure materials are stored properly.
    4. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
    5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that materials are handled and transported without damage, and products are delivered in good condition.
    6. Adherence to Procedures: Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including the proper handling of hazardous materials when necessary.
    7. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material movement and maintain a smooth workflow.
    8. Documentation: Keep accurate records of materials handled and report any discrepancies or issues to the relevant personnel.
    9. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that aisles and storage areas are clear and safe.

    Qualifications:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Valid forklift operator certification (if required by local regulations).
    3. Proven experience as a forklift operator (the specific duration may vary by employer).
    4. Strong understanding of forklift operations and safety protocols.
    5. Physical fitness and ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and maneuvering heavy objects.
    6. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
    7. Strong communication skills.
    8. Knowledge of inventory management and basic record-keeping.
